This is the future site of Chama, NM.
These are the arrival and departure track leads at the yard limits for Chama.
After leaving Chama the track will start up a 2% grade.
At the summit is a 180 degree turn and the grade down is 1%. A stamp mill and mine complex will be located here. The stamp mills unloading trestle will be reached via a switchback that has to climb at 4%. This will be the job of a 16ton Shay I have.
Stamp Mill location, with passing siding.
This is the switchback, headed up to the stamp mill.
Heading Westbound for Durango. This will be the site of Pagosa Junction. The tracks along the wall will be hidden staging representing Pagosa Springs and Farmington branches. You can see a passing siding starting here.
Passing through the stub wall heading for Durango. The tracks on the right, along the wall are the Pagosa, Farmington staging. I plan on having a removable hillside made of fiberglass for access. The track on the left is the main line.
